1000 Books Before Kindergarten
Build early-literacy skills one book at a time.
1000 Books Before Kindergarten helps prepare your child for school by building early-literacy skills through reading together — and it’s easier than it sounds. Reading just three books a day reaches 1,095 books in a year. Register at any LCLS member library for a welcome packet and your first reading log, record the books you read together (repeats and storytime books count, in any language), and bring each completed 100-book log back to swap for the next one.
